GHOF Bolton is run by female angling coach Bridget Dawson. Established in 2008, the project works with schools, inclusion teams, and local youth groups to offer coarse angling sessions and the GHOF modules. The modules include both practical and class based learning around angling techniques, fish welfare and the environment.
The project delivers principally from Moses Gate Country Park and Bradshaw fisheries and is well supported by the park rangers and fishery staff. Our most recent visit was to observe a Bolton Council of Mosques girl group supported by Bridget's regular peer mentors.
