The Wandle Trust & Wandle Piscators
Founded in 2001, the Wandle Trust is an environmental charity dedicated to restoring and maintaining the health of South London's River Wandle and its catchment.
The Wandle Piscators is a mixed-species, mixed-method fishing club founded in 2004, based on the River Wandle and with an interest in improving quality of the river. The two organisations are separate but inextricably linked, sharing certain goals as well as a small number of committed individuals.
Both the Trust and the Piscators coordinate events that aim to help the River Wandle in some way, including litter removal, invasive species removal, river fly monitoring and structural improvements to the river and surrounding habitat. These events rely on almost exclusively on volunteers.
